These recent years, we have been offered an opposition like none other in the history of this state. At least in the days of Jim Crow, Mississippi's governing class didn't have access to the words of those conversing behind closed windows. Now, the weaponization of social media and performative media have been drawn against us who safely and legally use kratom, if only for the purpose of lining the pockets of the greedy and warming the spines of the cowardly.
Too much has already been taken away. In Magee, in Laurel, in Tupelo, the freedom of the citizens of those cities have been burned on the streets and danced around by people unwilling and incapable of empathizing and improving the lives of those around them. We must rally. There is nobody coming to save us.
